Claude B. Kershner IV is the author of Deemed Essential, a founder of Reef Tropical, co-founder and co-owner of Pool Centurion, and Managing Principal of A.R.C.H. Consulting. His work begins with a simple belief: the people who serve customers every day deserve leaders and systems that help them do their best work.
Claude entered the trade-service business in 1998, when he and his father bought their first landscape company. Together, they built from landscaping into pool construction, repair, and maintenance—learning the work from the ground up, alongside the people and customers who depend on it.
What began with roughly 40 employees and about $2 million in annual revenue grew into a business exceeding $12 million. Today, the company is partnered with a private-equity firm and operates at more than $30 million annually. Claude is a shareholder, co-owner, and advisor to the business, bringing the perspective of an owner who has lived the decisions, handoffs, staffing challenges, customer commitments, and growth transitions that trade organizations face.
Through A.R.C.H. Consulting, he works with organizations that are growing, transitioning, and building toward their next chapter.
